What kind of equipment do you use?

A.I'm a Nikon girl.

I recently updated my collection to mirrorless, mainly shooting with the Nikon Z9. I also have the Nikon Z6 and the Nikon D850.

How would you describe your style?

A.My portraits are full of color and warmth! My goal is to capture authentic images of my clients, so I encourage movement and laughs throughout my photoshoots.

How do I book a session?

A.After you fill out the contact form, I’ll be in touch within 24 hours to schedule a quick 10-minute phone call, which I find is the easiest way to get the whole process started! This allows us to “meet” each other and determine if I am the right fit for you + your family.

If we are a right fit, I will send you an email with all the information with the next steps and a link to the contract and deposit instructions.

Without a completed contract, the session is not confirmed.

Session booked, now what?

A.I am so happy we are going to meet soon!

We’ll continue to be in touch, coordinating the details for your session & making sure we set ourselves up for the smoothest, most enjoyable photo shoot possible!

Investment. How much does a session cost?

A.It all depends on your event. Please contact me directly with details.

What should I wear?

A.Your outfit choices will have a major impact on the overall look of your photos, so what you choose to wear is extremely important! I would love to help you pick & style outfits that will give you the look you’re hoping for. But in general, I recommend flowy dresses for mamas + girls — and light, neutral, earthy colors that are coordinated but not necessarily matching!

Be comfortable and wear neutral bright colors. Once your session is booked, I can also provide suggestions for the best style that works for you and your family.

What if my kids don't cooperate?

A.I always try to make them play and have fun, don't push them into fake smiles or weird poses. I'll let them be kids.

I do recommend that you let them know a week before what is going to happen and if you are on the bribe team, have some snacks as a prize, that always work :)

Your job is to have a fun time with your family making memories, and just trust me with getting the shots.

And it also really helps if they are well-rested and well-fed!

How many pictures will I receive?

A.I typically capture around 50+ images during a family session. My priority is quality over quantity, so I will only edit and share with you the absolute best. If during our session I happen to capture more than that, then I will gladly pass those along as well!

Rest assured, you will be receiving all edited photos from our session.

Can I receive the unedited images?

A.No, I don't give unedited or RAW images to my clients. I take time to edit your images to perfection, and I don't believe in delivering an unfinished product.

Do I have to order my prints through you?

A.There is power in printing your photos. Something about holding them in your hands and seeing them on your walls is just so special. Your photos deserve to be displayed, not locked away on a hard drive or stuck in the mess of your computer!

Most of my clients walk away from their sessions with the opportunity to print their high-resolution files. Because they purchased the printing rights to the photos, they are now free to print as many photos as they’d like, wherever they’d like.

However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t recommend always printing your photos through your photographer, because I always do. Why? Because I can guarantee that the colors will print accurately!

I partner with an excellent professional photo lab and I would not recommend something that I don’t use for my own home.

Rescheduling due to weather?

A.Yes, for high wind, rain and smoke.

I'll be always in contact with you and let you know if it is good to be shooting outdoors.

*If you cancel your session for personal reasons, I would retain the deposit and ask for a new one for the rescheduled date.

When will I receive my photos?

A.I take time to carefully edit your images after your photoshoot, and deliver photo galleries within 7 days of photoshoot date.

Note, if it is an event, 10 business days.

I will send you an email with a link to open your online gallery, where you will be able to view your complete set of fully edited images and download all of your high-resolution digital files.

Where will we have our session?

A.Your session will be held at an outdoor location within a close drive of your home. If you already have a spot in mind, I’ll gladly accommodate you with that, provided that the space is relatively wide open + spacious. If not, I will happily suggest some to you & we’ll work together to find a local location that fits your style + preferences.
